Ones that are beloved because of the people they honour, but I don't like enough to use up front: Rachel, Paul, John, Henrietta/Henriette, Mary, Jane, Catherine, Ewan
Ones that are too popular/trendy: Henry, Theodore, Hazel, Albert
Ones that too 'out there'/ not my usual style: Bertram/Bertrand, Clio, Juno, York, Ford, Phlio, Vero, Liberty, Vrai, Clarity, Erasmus, Frank (wouldn't consider a nn alone up front), Wilford (additionally we know too many Wills!)
I also put names with nns I dislike, teasing potential or pronunciation problems as middle options.
Annora Juliet, Elspeth, Verity, Zelda, Daphne, Mirabel, Rosemary Constance
Edmund Henry, Jonah, Gilbert, August, Griffin, Bertram, Hugh Theodore

I have a ton of those. I'd consider them for mn's but for one reason or another
Mostly because they're a little over the top, but some are because DH had a girlfriend named "Jen" and I don't want anything with that nickname......as much as I utterly adore Geneva
RookLivy/Lucy : Geneva/Gwen : Coralie/Alice : Noelle/Eve
Eli/Bennett : Jude/Zane: Luke/Leo : Levi/Phineas

Celia- I really like it and had a dream about it, but my Greek family would hate it (it was my daughter's middle name in the dream)
Christabel, Christiana, Christianna- My brother's name is Christian, so it would be to honor him but I don't love them enough for a first name.
Daphne- My mom's name, which I have come to like but not love
Felicity- Love, but again my Greek family would not get it.
Georgia, Georgiana- My maiden name has George in it, so it would honor his side of the family, but I don't love them enough for a first name.
Helena- My name is a version of Helen, my Aunt was Ellen, my cousin's middle is Ellen, my great grandmother has the same name as me, so it carries the tradition, but I pronounce it Hel-ay-na instead of Helen-uh and my name is hard to pronounce so I try not to pick names that have pronunciation problems.
Wilhelmina- Honors my grandfather and my brother, William, but since my brother's name is Will, I won't use it for the first slot.
Stella- my grandmother's name, but I don't love it enough for a first
Ambrose- Love, but my mom hates it, so only a middle.
Cole- my mom's maiden name sounds like this, so its a honor name
Constantine- my name is related to Constantine (Saints Constantine and Helen) so it's a small connection to me.
Elias, Ilias- Love, but my dad's brother was named this (its a family name) and they didn't get along so I don't think my parents would want me using it. And my dog is named Eli, so it is a little close.
Paul- My dad's middle name (and would've been my name if I was a boy) and my grandfather's name, so its a honor name but I find it a bit boring.
Peter- don't love it enough for a first name but I like it.
Stellan- Stella is my grandmother's name, so honoring. My grandmother always complains that none of her kids named their children after her, so it would be a nice gesture.Just another teenberry and writer, a lover of names
My List:Zoe, Veronica, Thalia, Selene, Magdalena, Adeline, Alice, Isadora/Isidora, Cleo, Phoebe, Amelia, Willa, Sibyl, Felicity, Natalia, Corinne, Coraline, Iris, Chloe, Tessa, Cassandra, Jane, Althea, & Evangeline
Dimitri, Gregory, Jason, Tobias, Jordan, Charles, Jude, Augustus, Orion, Walter, Samuel, James, Leo, Silas, Luke, Joshua, Felix, Asher, Andrew, Aaron, Jasper, Cassius, Perseus, & Demetrius
Have a fabulous day!
