Hayes- handsome, short, easy to spell for most I assume, short but to the point

Nixon- I am not too fond of Nicolas, and I love Nikolai and Phoenix. Nixon or Nix are great nn's and I like them so much I would consider this as a first name contender.

Ford -I like this as a middle name- handsome factor enhances the first name, whatever that may be, without overriding it-very complimentary to many first names...

Jefferson- I still prefer Jeffrey, but Jeffrey could be a nn for Jefferson. I would most likely use this in the middle.

Carter- I would choose this as a middle since it is so popular-for my taste. I like it a lot. Spelling is easy, has the double r sound without being difficult to pronounce. I think this is turning into a classic.

Combos with these - Presidential Combos~

    Carter Hayes

    Nixon Hayes

    Jefferson Hayes

    Carter Jefferson Hayes

    Jefferson Hayes Ford

    Hayes Jefferson

Theodore is one of my favorite names, and its association with Roosevelt is one of the reasons I love it so. There are other names I like on the list, but my appreciation of them is not particularly enhanced by their presidential bearers.

I wouldn't necessarily name my kid "after" these presidents, but I like the names independent of them:

    Quincy
    Hayes
    Harrison

I'm a little wonky, so some names have too much political meaning for me to be able to separate them from their political/historical circumstances :P
