    Too Old Fashioned?

So, my top 2 names for girls are Maude and Agnes, and I would love to use them in a sibling set. However, I'm afraid that Maude and Agnes are both too clunky to work in one sibling set. Maude Apatow's sister is Iris, which isn't (to me anyways) as clunky as Agnes seems to be. Another down side is that Maude doesn't have a nickname that I like, where as Agnes can be Aggie or Essie or Nessa.

Are Agnes and Maude too old fashioned and clunky to be in one sibling set?

    Other ideas;

    Agnes & Beatrice
    Agnes & Clara
    Agnes & Eulalie
    Agnes & Mabel
Agnes & Ethel (Aggie & Ellie)

    Maude & Beatrice
    Maude & Clara
    Maude & Edith
    Maude & Dorothea
    Maude & Harriet

I don't think so at all, I love Maude and Agnes together! (Although I do prefer the Maud spelling.) However, I do see what you mean. If Maude and Agnes were in a sibset with say, Henry and Theodore, then perhaps it wouldn't seem so clunky. From your other options, I love Agnes & Beatrice, Agnes & Eulalie, Agnes & Mabel, Agnes & Ethel, Maude & Beatrice, Maude & Edith, Maude & Dorothea and Maude & Harriet.

I love Agnes and Maude, and think that they work together very well. I must admit, a Walter, Agnes, Albert and Maude sibset would practically make me swoon if I met them in real life!

of the Maude combos sound good.

I love Agnes too, but do find it more antiquated sounding than Maude.

So, either Maude or Agnes, but maybe not both. Do you like Mamie as a nickname?

I think Maude sounds lively and substantial and Agnes sounds more frail and delicate.

I think both are really old fashioned. I prefer Agnes and Eulalie because I adore Eulalia.
