    This is true...one of my friends has a daughter with a lovely name (most Berries would approve), and the daughter keeps saying how much she wishes her parents had named her Brittany, Vanessa, Kiley, or some other such thing. We're hoping she grows out of it!

    I think many children can go through not loving their names. Hopefully she will grow out of it and realize her name is beautiful and a part of her.

    The current Supreme Court of Canada has an interesting mix:

    Beverley (f) (Chief Justice)
    Louis
    Rosalie
    Marshall
    Thomas
    Michael
    Andromache (f)
    Richard
    Marc

    Predictably, there are nearly equal numbers of French and English names. But while I consider the names of the male justices to be rather classic and conservative, the names of the females don't really scream "lawyer" to me.
