Other ways to spell Malik (pro. Mal-lick)?

So what are your suggestions on how to spell Malik (pro. Mal-lick) differently so that people don't pronounce it Ma-LEAK which my hubby and I both hate? We thought of maybe Malach like Malachi with out the I? Any opinions?

I have a cousin with this name, it is spelled 'Maliq'.
I don't really like it, but it might be what you're looking for

Due to my horrible pronunciation, I would pronounce Malach 'mal-latch'. I second Malak.
