First Nameberry Post! - Need Some Ideas Please

    Hello,

This is my first post on Nameberry, as the title says, and I am in need of some suggestions for a sibling name for my son, Matthew Augustus who we call Hugo on occasions. Matthew's name has a lot of special meaning for my husband and I. However, we do wish Matthew's name wasn't so popular but of course it's a classic. We are looking for boy and girl names that would compliment Matthew Augustus but is more uncommon. Maybe a classic you don't hear anymore? We would also like a name with different or unusual nicknames, maybe even using the meaning as a possible nickname. An example is Christopher with the nickname Kit
Here is our list so far, none of them feel like the one...
    Boys
    Fritzgerald nickname Fritz
Rowan nickname Rowe - might be too popular?
    Espen(family name)
    Winslow - nickname Wins
    Girls
    Clara - too popular?
    Winter - is it weird?
    Azula
    Elowen - pronunciation issues

Any more I should add? Thanks for helping me add to our list!

I would avoid Fritzgerald - I kept reading it wrong as Fitzgerald, and I'm sure people will his whole life!

Rowan is on my short list for my number two and I adore it. It's not insanely popular yet- but I'm eyeing that trend as well.

Of your girls, I like Elowen best. Clara is pretty, too, and I for one never hear it anymore.

The names I like most from your list are Winslow for a boy and Clara for a girl. They both have a classic sound to them and would go well with Matthew Augustus.

Right now, Rowen is getting very popular. I actually know 3 couples that used the name over this past year for their babies....(2 boys and 1 girl) and I live in a somewhat small town. Espen is quite unusual in a good way and I'd definately consider using it if it has special family meaning. I also think Christopher/Kit is a great choice!

Also, another question, this one about pronunciation. How is Willoughby pronounced? Is it like willow-bee? Thanks!
