    Astoria?

How would you pronounce this? Any background information or good meaning on this name? I would probably say ah-stor-ee-ah if that makes sense I think it's really pretty with this pronunciation. I love the nickname possibility of Story when she's little.
    Thank you!

    I am very fond of Astoria (A-stor-ria) but it's also a place...that's a turn-off for me.

A-store-ria - all a neighborhood in Queens NYC. I cannot picture it as a name for a person.

I would say "ah story ah." I think it looks pretty, but all I can ever hear out of is, well..."a story, uh..." But I'm not big on Story as a name either. So it's just a strikeout for me. Sorry.

Sounds more like the name of a street than a name for a baby.

    Prononciation: (ah-store-ree-ah)
