I like Illyria, but Ilaria is just... I don't know. Something about the lar feels like gagging when I say it.

Illyria just seems like too much to me. It's not even a legitimate name. I'm big on using established names so Illyria is just an ancient geographical region and a(Awesome!)character from Angel.

Ilaria was on my middles list for a loong old time, and it's beautiful. I think the pronunciation is pretty straightforward, but that may just be me and my excellentness (also I knew it before, but the main reason is obviously just the excellentness thing) Good luck!

Well, technically Illyria was a character on Angel (sorry, wow I am a geek), but yes she was kind of awesome.

I totally see your point though. If you're not into place-names then Illyria isn't a good choice. Ilaria is lovely (did we conclude that it is prounounced Il-AH-ria or Il-AIR-ia? )
