    Nicholas or Nicolas

Question, my wife and I are planning on raising our son to be bilingual. One possible name for us is Nicholas. My question is, in her native French Nicolas is the more common spelling. Does this matter or is it best to stick with the traditional English spelling?

I think either one works. I'm used to seeing Nicholas. If you plan on using the nickname Nico, Nicolas makes sense.
