I love reading and classical music so both of these names are wonderful. I'm going to have to choose Alice though for a couple of reasons: (1) I grew up reading Alice in Wonderland and (2) Alice is my middle name. OK, I'm biased!
    All the best,
    Mischa.

    I much prefer Alice!

It feels classic and simple and lovely.

Elise feels like a nickname that nobody knows how to spell. (Elise, Elyse, Alyse, Alise, Ellise, Elysse, Alysse, Ellyse, Elisse, Aleese, Elize, Elease, Alese, Allyse, Aleece, Elyce, Ellyce, Elice, Alisse, Ilyse, Alease)

Alice isn't a bad name, but I've always preferred Elise
Not expecting, just having fun collecting names!

I much prefer Alice. Its sweet, spunky, and classic. I feel Elise is crazy trendy and like previously pointed out, has a lot of different spellings.
