Can I just say how much I love your daughters' names?

From your list, I think Ford and Hank would work really well for a boy. For girls, I agree that Harper kind of looks out of place. However, Opal is one of my favorite names and I think it works marvelously with Mavis and Edith. I don't really think it matters that your cat is Ruby (also cute!). They are two distinct names with a history of use; I think a cat named Emerald and a daughter named Sapphire might not work as well because the gem connection is so in-your-face, if that makes sense. Agnes and Nelly are great, though I like Nelly as a nickname for Eleanor.

    Other options (sorry for repeats):
    Girls:
    Alma
    Dorothy
    Frances
    Beata
    Esther
    Estelle
    Billie
    Clara
    Fern
    Faye
    June
    Rosalie
    Maude
    Joan
    Florence

    Boys:
    Hugh
    Gilbert
    Bertram
    Walter
    Norris
    Clark
    Raymond
    Lucius
    Francis
    Current loves:
    Opal | Saffron
    Winslow | Hopper

I was thinking Agnes before I even opened this thread. And now I learn it's a family name. Perfect!!

Also, I think that if I were to choose Nelly, I would make it a nickname for Helen or Eleanor. Actually, Helen would fit right in with Mavis and Edith, even without the nickname.
