    Alina...Elina?

I came across Alina today and I think it is very pretty...which I think is due to my love for Elena (which we sadly can't use).

Can it be spelled Elina? Would you pronounce it differently? (ee-leen-ah vs. ah-leen-ah? Is that correct?)

Any thoughts are appreciated as always!

I would pronounce both ah-leen-ah, but I prefer the E spelling. It just looks prettier, imo. Ee-lee-nuh sounds awkward to me.

I would pronounce Alina ah-lee-nah and Elina ay-lee-nah. Prefer Alina.

I would pronounce them differently, but just slightly. Alina I would prn. Like Uh-lee-na (close to Alexa) while Elina I would prn. Like Eh-lee-na (closer to Ella)
