    It's a boys name. It means "son of Emery".

    Yeah, it's used a lot on girls but it's not out of place on boys. (364 for boys, 244 for girls).

    Boys! I've met so many little girls with this name, always spelled Emersyn/Emmersyn, etc. I don't think it's feminine at all.

    I've only heard it on girls, seeing as the go-to nickname is "Em", "Emmy", etc I think this makes sense. Although technically it is a boy name.
