I think you forgot about the moon, miss Moon! Your children will be all wild moonshine! I'm very excited about this thread, just so you know.

3 days late, yay!!! We're hoping you're pregnant, right? Your babies will be so beautiful. I'm quite set on Sequoia and Cytheria for you, I can picture them running through the tall grass with flower crowns in their dark curly hair, playing with their home made stuffed dragons and unicorns, making willow flutes and dancing with the satyrs. Just saying.

I love Sequoia Jupiter, it's quirky, fun and powerful. I don't think you can do better than this one. Koia is an amazing nn!
Gideon feels way too normal for you. I understand why it is appealing, but you're too wild to use this name. Gideon Venture would be a lovely combo though. Love the nn Deedee.

Cytheria Valkyrie is lovely, but if Husband doesn't like... Cytheria Holly would be sweet (i could see you with a Holly), and I like Cytheria Zephyr very much. Cytheria Venture would also be quite the striking name. Theory, Cith and Cy are all wonderful nn.
Seraphina is beautiful and fiery, Seraphina Venture works wonderfully. Seraphina Wondrous...? Nn for Seraphina could be Fia, Fifi, Ra (!!!), Era, Affie.

Do you need suggestions? Nope, but I can't help myself.
Are you attracted to Valkyries in general, or is it just the name Valkyrie? Cause some of them have got quite lovely names. Some of the names are horrid (Hjalmprimul, anyone?), but these are in my opinion lovely:
    Kara ("the wild/stormy one")
    Mist ("mist/cloudy")
Herja ("devastate", but she was a valkyrie, so devestating things is in this case a good thing)
    Sigrun ("victory rune")
    Geiravor ("spear Goddess")
    Eir ("clemency/peace")
    Reginleif ("daughter of the Gods")
    Svanhvit ("swan white")

Some other Norse names you might like:
    Gersemi ("treasure")
    Eisa ("glowing embers")
    Eimyrja ("embers")
    Vanadis ("spirit/ghost of the Vanir")

Greek (usable) Goodies for my fellow Classicist:
Aeneas ("praise", Trojan prince and focus of the epic Aeneid)
Aglaia ("splendour/beauty" - one of the Graces)
Alcyone (“kingfisher”, you know the story. Also one of the Pleiades)
Arethusa ("better"+"shining" or "to carry off", nymph)
    Aries (the golden ram)
    Asteria ("starry", Hecate's mama)
Astraea (“starry”, Goddess of justice and innocence)
    Aura (“air”, Goddess of breeze)
Charis ("loveliness", the name of the Graces)
    Chione (“snow”, nymph)
    Chryseis ("gold")
    Cicaea ("belonging to Circe")
Cissea ("to wreath with ivy" - epithet of Athene)
Dione (“of Zeus”, Titaness and one of the Hyades, among other things)
    Eirene (“peace”, Goddess of peace)
Elektra (“shining”, one of the Pleiades)
Endymion (“taken to heart”, the shepherd loved by Selene)
Herakles (“glory of Hera”, the hero)
Hyperion (“he who goes above”, Titan of the sun)
    Leander (“lion/man”+”people”, lover of Hero)
Loxias ("the obscure" - epithet of Apollo)
    Lycius (epithet of Apollo)
    Lycus (“wolf”, king of Thebes)
Megara (ancient city in Greece, figure in Greek mythology and love interest of Hercules in the Disney movie)
Eudora (“good gift”, one of the Hyades)
Euphrosyne (“merriment”, one of the Graces)
    Melanthe (“black/black flower”)
Mousika (“music”, one of the Horae, of the morning hour of music)
Morea (the Hamadryad of the Mulberry)
Nephele (“cloud”, a maiden fashioned out of a cloud)
Parthenia ("of a maiden" - epithet of Artemis)
Pleione (“to sail”, mother of the Pleiades)
Poseidon (“husband”, God of the sea)
Selene (“moon”, Goddess of the moon)
Thalassia (“of the sea”, epithet of Aphrodite)

How do you feel about the Romans? They've got some lovely names too:
Aurora (“dawn”, Goddess of the dawn (and there’s also the northern lights))
Bacchus (“to shout”, God of wine and ecstasy)
Carmenta (“oracular declaration”, prophetess and mother of Evander, Goddess of childbirth and prophecy)
Cybele (Ancient mother Goddess, figures in several pantheons)
    Egeria (water nymph)
Faunus (Roman God of forests, he was originally a king of Latium. Much more complex than Pan)
Februus (“fever”?, Roman God of purification)
Flora (“flower”, Roman Goddess of flowers and spring)
Juturna (“to help”, Goddess of springs and fountains)
Lucina (“bringer of light”, Goddess of childbirth)
Lupercus (“wolf”, God of wolves and fertility, identified with Faunus)
Mercury (messenger of the Gods and God of merchants. Mercury was also an ancient Germanic God identified with Odin)
Mithras (“promise”, the main God of Mithraism (mystery religion)
Neptune (“moist”, God of the sea)
    Neverita (Goddess consort of Neptune)
    Silvanus/Silvan (“woodland”, God of forests)
Sol (“sun”, God of I don’t even bothering writing it)
Venatrix ("huntress" - epithet of Venus)
Venelia (a nymph, wife of either Faunus or Neptune)
Verticordia ("to change hearts" - epithet of Venus)

Moon! Ooh, hopefully there's a little one that needs naming. Even if there's not (yet) I'm going to love watching your naming process. You have such beautiful taste. Are you just looking for some brainstorming? Combo ideas with your top picks? Feedback? I'll do all three.

I like all four of your top picks. I think Sequoia and Cytheria are very suited to each other. I love Gideon, he's been on and off our list. Seraphina, too. I keep trying to make that one work. I'd be hesitant to do Seraphina and Sequoia back to back because of the S thing starting to feel a bit too matchy. Gideon and Seraphina is great. The problem with Seraphina is she'll probably be a Sera unless you really push something else. Sera is beautiful, nothing against it, but she doesn't have Seraphina's fire. Valkyrie is a bit of a recent crush of mine (I wanted it as a first, with the nn Kyrie). SO said no to that one. Haha. If husband hates it, best to eliminate it, unless he's the sort to change his mind or it's one you love enough to fight for. I'm learning to pick my name battles. Save it for the ones you can't live without. The crushes can go. I'm also learning to know the difference between a crush and a love.

I like Sequoia Jupiter, Gideon River, Cytheria Venture and Seraphina Valkyrie myself. Most combinations of your middles and firsts work. From your GP list (are they off limits as middles?) Antigone, Asriel and Pendragon feel like they'd work well, too. We've got Pendragon on our middle list, SO loves that one. It's certainly not conventional, but I don't think it's totally over the top. I absolutely love saying Anakalypteria, btw. Wowza. Zosteria Rose is probably my favorite combo. It's so lush and just gorgeous.

Here's some from my lists you may enjoy:

Actually, I just went through Ottilie's suggested names and I'm not sure I can add to it! Let me see. Here's some nature, magic, word ones. I'm sure you've considered all these, but sometimes it helps to see them again.

We weren't going to start TTC until January, so a pregnancy right now would require some serious creativity in order for me to graduate with my MBA next year, but of course I would still be happy!

@Ottilie - great name suggestions!!! When I was younger, Amethyst was a serious name obsession of mine. Here are the ones I'm adding to my list:

    Aeneas
    Hyperion
    Venatrix
    Verticordia
    Equinox

@Redwoodfey - Ooh, thank you for the suggestions. I have the same issue with Seraphina, but I do think Sera is a very lovely NN. I did notice a pattern of names starting with the "s" sound, but I am not too worried about it. I would love to use Anakalypteria, but I think my husband would throw a fit, haha. I've been getting him used to Cytheria and Sequoia slowly for YEARS, so I'm not sure I could pull off anything longer and more exotic than those. Great suggestions! I'll keep:

Baelfire (I am a huge Once Upon a Time fan, but I also like this for other very geeky reasons)
    Bard
Rune (pretty sure this was on my list at some point. Don't you hate when names drop off by accident?)

I love your choices. I especially love Sequoia on a boy. It feels very beautiful and timeless and free all at once. Definitely a pleasant surprise.
