Thread: Splicing Names???
October 10th, 2013 11:21 AM #1
I was wondering what you all think of splicing names and sticking pieces that you like together?
My Grandmother's name is Leonicia. It's a Spanish fem form of Leo/Leon. I just am not crazy about the Nicia part.
I Also love the name Novi/Novah.
Is it weird to Splice them and stick them together? Behold Leonovi! Is it weird to do that?
My Husbands name is William. I'm sorry I don't like the name, but I do like Will, Liam, and Billy or and Willem. For a girl the variations come from the name Wilhelmina. Its so pretty but so clunky to say! Can I do this? Behold Willamina! or Willaminka! Minka is a nick name I heard for a Wilhelmina once.
I also Love Delilah but I don't like the D sound and don't like the Del part. Can I do.. Elilah? or If I'm really crazy I love Zyla (a friends baby name) and Delilah together? Zalilah? Am I being crazy?
We are working on Baby number one and We love Unique names. What's you opinion please?
