Variants of Katherine
I am in search of a middle name for Mary, nn Mae. My mom's name is Kathleen and I'd like to honor her somehow. Right now, the frontrunner is Katherine. Mary Katherine, love it. However, I'm also looking for Katherine variants.
So, what would you pair with Mary?
ETA: It won't be a double first name, she'll go by Mae or Mary.

I really love Katrien, which I believe is a Dutch form of Katherine, said like kah-TREEN. Before I knew it was Dutch, though, I thought it was French, and love it with the French pronunciation (kah-tree-ah(n)). I think Mary Katrien would be interesting and unexpected! Mary Katarzyna or Mary Ekaterina would be lovely, as well!Lise

As beautiful a combo Mary Katherine is, it gives me heavy associations to SNL's Mary Katherine Gallagher.
Mary Kathleen is lovely, a shame that's not in the run.
Katharine (had to put it there, I love the A instead of the E)
Katinka (I love this name so much, but I don't know if it would be too difficult in English?)Zelia/Elja • Nineteen • Name and history nerd from an early age • I have a blog.
