    Elayssa? Origins? Pronunciation please?

I ran across this name on a middle eastern dancer named Elayssa Thompson. I found it on other people through the net but no info on pronunciation or origin. I am guessing Greek? Anyone have info on this name, it's not on Nameberry. If it is pronounced ee-lay-sah I might just love this name.

I've heard of Elissa/Elyssa, Elysia, Illysia, and Alyssa but not Elayssa. I'm thinking it's a smoosh of two names (Elaine and Alyssa?) or it's made up.
    All the best,

I agree with @Mischa. My first thought it was that is made up but Iam not sure so I will look for it on the internet.
I'am eternally, devastatingly romantic, and I thought people would see it because 'romantic' doesnt mean 'sugary.'
Its dark and tormented - the furor of passion, the despair of an idealism that you can't attain.

Most surnames seem to be middle eastern, Im thinking more common spelling must be Elaysa as I found many of those on Facebook and the like
