    I like Lila better. It looks much nicer when on paper.

    I prefer the vintage Lila rather than the phonetic modern invention of Lyla. I don't know where people get the notion that Lila is pronounced "lee-luh". Maybe in Europe where "i" is often pronounced as "e" but English speakers should know that Lila is "lie-luh".

    Lila = lie-luh
    Lelia/Laila/Layla = lay-luh
    Lela = lee-luh
    All the best,
    Mischa.

    If you are going for the Lie-La pronunciation, I definitely think Lyla is the way to go. Lila to me is Lee-La.

    Lila! It's so sweet and charming. And I do think most people would see Lila and understand it's LIE-lah, especially as the popularity of the name grows. Before my distant cousin used it, Lila was my preferred spelling (and I still love it!). I think it's beautiful.

    My grandmother was a Lilah, so that version looks the most "right" to me. Having said that, I try to avoid the letter y unless necessary. I vote Lila.
