Do you pronounce Leon (LEE-on) or (LAY-on)?

That is how I pronounce it too, and I like it pronounced that way. I just saw on the name listing that someone pronounced it LAY-on. Thank you!

    I pronounced it lee-AHN.

    There are two pronounciations:
    lee-AHN English)
    LE-awn (German, Polish)
Dany (Also known as Athena Danielle)

I say it LEE-on. My childhood babysitter's husband was Leon, pronounced the same way, and that's the only way I've really ever heard it. I've heard lee-OWN, too, and I tend to try to pronounce it that way whenever I see the Kings of Leon, haha. I don't know why, though! I've never heard lee-AHN, though--that just sounds like Liane, the French girls' name, to me!
