    Model Names

I've always sort of like America's Next Top Model but I've been really hating their new style of doing things here lately so I branched out to other countries. I started watching Australia's Next Top Model today (season 8) and found some really neat names. Thought I'd share. ^_^

Dajana -- If I'm hearing right, they said this as day-yah-na -- EDIT: they actually are saying it like Diana O_o
    Shanali
Cassandra -- I've never met anyone actually named Cassandra ^_^
    Duckie
    Aimee -- love this spelling
Jade -- Love Jade but I've only seen it as a middle name except on a boy I know where it's his first name
Anita -- I love it but I feel it's so underused! I also had one of my German classes once with an Anitra

I haven't seen it but i do no of Taylah who was disqualified she's from my state and when so it was quite a big deal. That spelling of Taylor is reasonably well known here though.

There's always some interesting names on the American version, but it's become somewhat of a joke. The international versions of shows always seem to be so much better. The girls in the Australian version are so much prettier than anyone on this cycle in America. They're so much more naturally beautiful.

As for the names, I really loved Dajana when I thought it was pronounced like day-yah-na but with it pronounced Diana it just doesn't make any sense to me. I also really like Shanali and Duckie in an adorable nickname.

On America's Next Top Model this cycle we have boys and girls and they are:

    Alexandra*
    Bianca*
    Nina
    Chlea
    Renee
    Jourdan
Jiana* -- but I like it Giana
    Kanani*
    Mike
    Marvin
    Phil
    Cory
    Chris
    Don

Tyra Banks' version is a GP of mine but the recent cycles have been a serious let down. I do love the Australian version though Here are some names from previous cycles:

Demelza - I remember really crushing on this name during her cycle
Alamela - Full name Alamela Rowan
    Adele - A friend's sister!
    Cobertha - Nickname Cobi
    Paloma
Alice - Full name Alice Burdeu
    Eloise
    Lola
    Neo
    Hazel
Caris - Full name Caris Eves
    Anika
    Montana
    Madeleine
Kamila - Not a creative spelling, she was of Polish descent
    Leiden - Dutch?
    Franky
    Clare
    Yolanda
    Annaliese
