Still cannot narrow down a boy name for #2
Hello! We're not expecting yet but I'm a bit obsessed with narrowing things down and having some options in our pocket to see how they grow on us until we have #2 in the near future. We have plenty that we *like* but we are having a hard time finding *the one*. Perhaps there is no such thing. I don't know! I'd love to get 2-3 combos to store for safe-keeping. Can you help me out?
We have a son named Maximus Alexander (our Spanish family and friends call him Maximo Alejandro so we'd need more names that are easily translated or pronounced in Spanish. But I'm not looking for Spanish names like Carlos or Alberto, just something they can say.)
Here is a long list of names that I've collected. If you have more suggestions that are similar, please share! If you see a few that would sound great with Maximus, list a few first/middle combos for me
I feel like I like almost everything and cannot decide which direction to go, whereas my hubby is kind of picky and doesn't readily approve or disapprove. He likes to think on it for a while. Therefore, we're not really getting anywhere. We had Maximus Alexander picked out and set in stone well in advance and now we can't seem to agree on anything definitively for #2.
Girl options aren't any better but they include Esme, Amelie, Magnolia, Minerva, Audrey, Sophronia...
Last name starts with a "Cuh" sound and ends with S. 3 syllable. It contains a V and a Z so we tend to like those letters a lot but they're not necessary. I'd prefer to avoid popular choices. At least #200+. Thanks for any and all thoughts/ideas!!!
Liked but not yet 100%:
Barnaby (Bernabe is a family name. If used, it would be a middle.)
Tristan (not too fond that it sounds like the Spanish word for sad)
Theodore nn Theo
Henry - (called Enrique in Spanish)
August/Augustus (My favorite, however hubby hates the "guh" sound so this is pretty much vetoed.)
Riordan nn Rio
Leopold (hubby prefers Leonidas but I think it's too much.)
Constantine (Middle only)
Benedict (Kind of clashes with last name )
Jericho (like it but it was a conquered city in the Bible so not sure.)
Gideon (Same as Augustus)
Dante (our #1 at the moment but we've kind of fallen out of love with it. Durante?)
Perhaps. (not all are hubby approved/denied yet):
Davian / Davion (husband is David)
Desmond (hubby doesn't like the meaning)
Joaquin (easy enough for english speakers to know how to pronounce??)
Leandro/s nn Leo
Maverick / Mavery
Okay that's all of them. Any thoughts? Ideas? Combos? Good reasons to drop a name? New suggestions that I haven't thought of yet? Thanks!!Maximus Alexander's Mama
