    Too girly?

Shiloh, Ashton, Ashley, Kellan, Ambrose, Penrose...are they too feminine to ever use for a boy? Any other names that would be dashing for a boy, but could be mistaken for a girl?

I think you could pass with using Ashton or Kellen (I prefer this spelling). . I would just make sure the middle name was all boy!!

    Ashton Robert
    Kellen David
    etc.

Shiloh, Ashton, and Ashley are all derived from surnames and thus unisex, Kellan and Ambrose are strictly masculine names, and I've never seen Penrose before as a FN but Nameberry lists it as unisex. So to answer your question: no, I definitely don't think any of those are too feminine to use on a boy.

In terms of how masculine/feminine the name sounds to you, that is a different story.

Some names I like for boys, but that could be mistaken for girls:
    Addison
    Cameron
    Reilly
    Rhys

I'd have no problem using these names on boys. A few more I like:

    Jade
    Emerald
    Avery
    Kelly
    Jordan
    Ashley
I’m just trying to behave as I think a friend should behave. Granted, I haven’t had much practice.
