Niiskuneiti’s Name the Babies...with a twist!! R1
I love these multi-round games that have been cropping up! I thought I’d create one with a twist: all of these families require unusual (perhaps outrageous) names. I’ll pick my favorites from your answers and use them for the next round : )
Zenon Beautiful Starr and Atlas Purple Haze Vega have been pop stars since birth. They fell in love when performing together and are now expecting their first child, a girl. They each come from a long line of performers and want to give their daughter a first name bold enough to stand on its own as a stage name. No middle names necessary.
Three years ago, Faye Jeannette Donahue and Idris Orson Donahue left a chaotic city behind to start a new life in the countryside. They built a small organic farm from the ground up. They’re expecting twin boys. They want to pay homage to mother nature for all that she has given them, but they don’t want to use nature names that are at all popular - they want truly inspired nature names. Middle names should honor Faye’s mother Susan Margaret and Idris’s mother Corinna Jane.
DS & DS:
Ella Paulina McCabe and Genevieve Esmée Diderot are expecting triplets, two boys and a girl. They have several cultures they need to honor: Ella’s family is Finnish and Scottish; Genevieve is French; and their best friend Edwin, who has donated his sperm, is from Ecuador. They love the letters W, X, Y, and Z, and hate the letters P and K.
DS & DD & DS:
Novelist couple Nerissa Belle Edwards and Gideon James Rice are expecting their first child, a girl. They want to name her after their literary characters, but they love too many books to make up their minds! Their favorite genres are fantasy, children’s books, and classic English literature. They’ve decided to allow themselves to give her up to three middle names as well as a hyphenated first name, if necessary. They don’t wish to repeat any initials (ex: GGPLE-R or SAHAE-R.) Her surname will be Edwards-Rice.
Hadley Beth Fox, age 16, and Caleb Nathaniel Percy, age 17, are expecting a baby boy. In order to provide a supportive environment for the young parents and new baby, the Fox and Percy families have decided to move into one big house together. Hadley and Caleb want their son to stand out among the family members (Jared, Julia, Tess, Alexa, Sophie, and Cooper Fox; Richard, Megan, Leah, Evan, Jesse, Hannah, and Lucas Percy), so they’ve decided to choose a first name not in the top 1000 and two rockstar-worthy middle names.
Avi Joshua Cates and Sabrina Meredith Cates are elementary school teachers who are adopting identical twin girls from China. They want to give the girls fairly traditional American first names, but the problem is that almost every name reminds them of students they’ve had! Any name in the top 100 from 1996-2013 is out of the question. They want to give the girls two middle names each: one Jewish name and one Mandarin Chinese name.
