Findy Shary, Mixy Matchy
Buoyed up* ( ) by your marvellous suggestions on my girl's name thread and just generally giddy that tonight I got to write about Leo and Idabecca for the first time, I decided to make my boy's thread.
With the boys my problem is vastly different. Unlike the girlies, I have no trouble loving tons of boy names - as evidenced by my list of possible first names - however I still fail at coming up with fresh combinations and would love to hear more suggestions as to new names I might like. Feel free to comment on the names too if that tickles your fancy but there're a lot so don't feel like you have to.
Rules are the same as with the girls. I have simple tastes (read 'am exceptionally picky') and my criteria runs thusly. The name must be: a legitimate name, spelt correctly, not a surname** and not a word/place name. I'm open to names from any culture and tend to like the unusual and old fashioned.
Sally forth people! Be marvellous
August (would be Gusto or Gale)
Jory (atm this is as a nickname for Joseph)
(all would be middles only bar Ned and Joseph/Jory)
Fiero (not sure if this is real, if it’s not it can be crossed off)
Halle (hal-uh *in German anyway, not sure about other pronunciations. Otter told me once but I forgot * )
Remy (can only be a middle as I’m Ren. This devastates me like you wouldn't believe, lol.)
*Entirely possible that this joke only works if you're British...
** There are a few I end up liking anyway, like Rafferty. So this rule has a little leeway.

Atticus - love the literary significance
Casimir - I like this name as I like Casper and Caspian so this name is reminscent of them but at the same time being more distinct
Horatio - I actually love this name... and this may be just me but I always think of that redhead with the sunglasses and his oneliner (before it cuts to commercial) on csi miami (I like this association because he makes me laugh)
Julian - this is my cousins name
Diego - I like Spanish names
Alasdair - this has an exotic yet fresh flair to it
Benedict - reminds me of the pope in a good way (no I am not religious)
Jasper - No clue why I like it I just think it is a cool name
Luciano - has the hispanic/latin flair
Pascal - I always think of an intelligent Philosophical free-spirited person when I hear this name
Rafferty - no idea why I like this name, but it is cute and maybe I see him with a little bit of a fun and funny side
Tristan - I love this name
(I like the aesthetics of all these names)
Combos: (I'm still not very good at this but I have fun matching things)
Atticus William Jasper
Horatio Michael Pascal
Julian Edmond Diego
Julian William Rafferty
Casimir Joseph Pascal
Bram William Stewart
