    Wanted: UK 80's names

So here's the thing, for a while now I've been working on a Harry Potter fanfiction that revolves around the Ravenclaw's in Harry's year. My main characters names are non-negotiable, I got them off the old HP & Me interview/ Pottermore so they're cannon-ish. However I have need for plenty of names for side and minor characters (especially siblings), problem is due to the setting I need names that where popular in the UK in the 1980's but it looks like the UK didn't start keeping popularity lists until 2000 (or if they did I can't find them). I've tried to go off the US lists but being from the US I can't spot which ones would come off as blatantly American. Oh and if you think one of my suggestions is the best choice feel free to say so.I really need second opinions.

    - Older sister
    Considered names: Catherine,Claudia,Cecelia
Notes: Anthony's Jewish so nothing Biblical but also nothing stereotypically Jewish. I'd also like something fairly common and classic like Anthony. Catherine would be perfect but I have an association I can't shake.

    -Younger brother
    Considered: Jesse
Notes: Looking for one of those popular unisex names from the 80s

    Amanda "Mandy"
    -Younger sister
    Considered: Jessica "Jessie", Jennifer "Jenny"
Notes: Jessica was huge over here in the 80s but I have a feeling that the same isn't true in the UK,was it? Would Jennifer be better or weird if she's not Cornish? I'm looking for a trendy/common 80's name with a equally common nickname.

    -Two older sisters
    Considered: Catriona/Caitriona and Isobel/Iseabail
Notes: I know they're both Scottish but do they seem too normal next to Morag? Morag strikes me as very traditional but I don't know if it would seem that way in Scotland
    -Older brother
Notes:I'm completely lost on this one, other then the fact that I want something traditionally Scottish

    -Younger sister
    Considered: Lin
    -Younger brother
    Considered: Bo,Ty
Notes: Su is ethnically Chinese,I'm looking for names that are short Chinese and coincide with an English name

    -Older sibling
    -Younger Sibling

    -Older sibling
    -Younger sibling
No notes for these two-I'm open to anything boy or girl.

Sorry for the wall of text!

Prior to 1996, data for England & Wales comes in the form of one year every decade, starting from 1904. So the only data available for the 1980s is for 1984. You can find the tables here:

As for the others, I'll comment on a few.

Anthony: Catherine does fit well with Anthony, far more so than the other two IMO. Perhaps Eleanor, Victoria or Charlotte would work?

Terry: I'd say Terry is very male and very dated over here. A fitting younger brother might be Steve, Graham, Derek, Alan, Stuart or Gary. A biblical classic like Jesse kind of jars with dated Terry to be honest.

Mandy: I think Jessica is more 90s than 80s. Jennifer works well. It never reached the dizzying heights of popularity here as it did in the US but it's not strongly Cornish anymore. Other options: Rebecca, Danielle, Nicola, Joanna, Kimberley, Natasha, Melanie.

Morag: I like Catriona with Morag but Isobel seems a little plain (I think Isobel might've been cannon too though? I can't remember ). Elspeth, Bonnie and Fiona could also work. For the brother, perhaps Stuart, Hamish, Alastair, Donald, Angus or Malcolm.

I can't help with Su as my knowledge of Chinese names is just non-existent.

Stephen: Alison, Michelle, Claire, Helen, Louise, Tracey, Angela / Philip, Mark, Timothy, Martin, Jonathan, Paul, Richard

Oliver: Rachel, Emma, Karen, Elizabeth, Lucy, Gemma, Hannah / Daniel, Nicholas, William, Joshua, Frederick, Jonathan, James
    William ♠ Thomas ♠ Peter ♠ Henry ~ Rose ♠ Alice ♠ Ivy ♠ Lowenna
Mowesi ~ Henwyn Kernewek ~ Mebyon

Wow this got pushed down quickly. Bumping it back up.

But thank you to CharlieandPerry1 for the link to the UK top 100. That looks very helpful! I'll comment on specific suggestions once there's a few more posts.
