I definitely consider Devon to be a male name.

Devi and Devika are feminine alternatives.
    Current favorites:
    Cora . Louisa . Lydia . Mary

I feel like Devon, with any of its spelling variations is more masculine, but technically it is unisex. To me, it sounds either or and wouldn't be sure of the gender if I was reading a class list.
I love the name, it means poetic.
If I was going to use Devon for a girl I would pair it with an ultra feminine middle.
Firstly, other names like Devon for girls:
    Tristan
    Tierney
    Parker
    Jordan*
    Emmett
    Bennett
    Evan*
*very much(at least in my opinion) like devon/deven/devin/devan/devun/devyn
    Devon Elizabeth
    Devon Aurora
    Devon Brielle
    Devon Emmalin
    Devon Jillian
    Devon Joelle
    Devon Calista
    Devon Eliana
    Devon Fiona
    Devon Faith

I'm going to second Davina as a feminine name similar to Devon
    or even Davida

The one I know is a man, but he pronounces it like De Vaughn.
