I think Gemma is a lovely name. I read a trilogy where the main character's name was Gemma. She was an amazing character.

I like it because I love Emma, and I feel like Gemma is a good alternative with a beauty of its own. I like its brightness/lightness. Not classic like Emma but pretty.... Gemma Catherine, Gemma Rosalind, Gemma Victoria, Gemma Isobel, Gemma Matilda...

Is Gemma pronounced with a hard g sound or a j sound like Jemma?

I like Gemma a lot. I don't LOVE it, but I do really like it. My first two ideas for combos were Gemma Evangeline and Gemma Rosalie. I like the suggestion of Gemma Catherine, as well.

It's pronounced the same as Jemma, and like the word gem.
