    Evanna and Evangeline

    Hi Berries,

How would you pronounce the names Evanna and Evangeline?

When I first saw the name Evanna, I thought the pronunciation was "eh-VAN-nuh" (first syllable similar to Eliza and Emma) but I think the pronunciation "ee-van-nuh" (like Eve and Ivana) is more common? Do you pronounce Evangeline in a similar way?

    Thanks. x

I pronounce both with the 'eh' beginning as oppose to 'ee' - however I'm from Australia so that may make a difference!

I, too, pronounce both names with an 'eh' beginning.
Evanna sounds a bit harsh to my ears, like I might have misheard Savannah...
Eliza Jane - Madelyn Iris - Lina Mae - Liv Eleanor - Thea Evelyn - Nora Adeline - Zoe Winter - Amalia Eve

Reid Elijah - Ronan Isaac - Nathan Levi - Owen Evander - Kai Alexander - Jonah Benjamin - Reuben Archer - Silas William

For Evanna, I would say ee-VON-uh, for Evangeline it would have the same "ee" beginning, like Eve.

    Evanna would be ee-VON-uh

    Evangeline is ee-VAN-juh-leen.
