I have to admit Chace makes me hesitate to make sure there's not an alternative pronunciation. Chass? Eventually I realize it's meant to be Chase but also makes me wonder why complicate it. If you like the sound of Chase, spell it Chase.

You're not giving your child a more unique or less popular name by using Chace instead of Chase. For all intents and purposes in real life (roll call, playground time, introducing oneself) they are the same name. For that reason, I say go with the more known and understood spelling instead of making it unnecessarily complicated.
    Chase, definitely.

Go with Chase. "Chace" is not a word.
