Mary + Edith = Marith as a MN?

thoughts on using Marith as a MN after my grandmothers Mary Ellen & Edith Lorraine? I thought of Meredith too but i just can't get into it. I also thought of Ellen + Lorraine = Elaine but that sounds really old to me. Marith sounds as made up as it is, but for the sake of a namesake? maybe?

I was going to suggest Meredith, but you've already thought of it. I personally prefer Meredith to Marith, but that's just me. I also prefer Elaine to Marith (for whatever it's worth).

As a middle name, it's doable. I'd prefer Ellaine though (or Elaine).

I think middle names are excellent places to do whatever you like. If you like the name Marith and have a conventional enough first name, then use it.
