    I prefer Lyle. Carlisle sounds really prissy to me, and it just isn't my thing.

    I would definitely use Lyle Alexander! No matter how you look at it, Carlisle is too tied to Twilight.

    Carlisle Alexander is such a handsome name.
    I would go with the original. Carlyle would get misspelled all the time.
    I personally really like Carlisle but I think I would more likely use Lyall or Lyle.

    Lyle Alexander. It sounds great as it is. Carlisle or Carlyle would inevitably lead many people to shorten it to the nn Carl, which probably isn't what you were intending....

    I didn't even know Carlisle was in Twilight. I can't imagine that connection lasting very long.
