Thread: Pronounce Evaline
September 5th, 2013 06:18 AM #1
My grandmother's middle name was Evaline. That's how it was spelled. I've never seen it spelled this way so almost seems made up. I've googled pronounciations and come up w/ many different ways. Just wondering at first glance, how you would hear this name in your head? To me it's Eva-Line. The line w/ a long i sound. But I think my grandmother may have actually pronounced it Eva-Lyn. I'm considering it only as a middle name Grace Evaline. So I realize it doesn't matter a whole lot but just curious how people would say it. I like the long i sound better as I think it flows nicer w/ Grace. But I am not sure if that's even a name. I've never heard anyone named Eva-line w/ the long i sound.Mom to Mhairi Elizabeth (March 19, 2010) & Fiona Lilidh (Dec 21, 2012) Baby #3 Due March 2014

Its dark and tormented - the furor of passion, the despair of an idealism that you can't attain.
