Melissa, Melisande, and Devora also mean "bee" or "honey bee," as an alternative to Debra.

Karen is a form of Katherine, so you could use that, or one of its many other variants: Katarina, Karina, Katrina, Kate, Kitty, Kay, Katya, Kathleen, Catalina... that list goes on and on. Katherine means "pure," so you could also do Agnes, Virginia, or Wynn.

I would also think if you did two middles with the same initials, but no other obvious connection, you could get away with it. For example,
Ivy Diane Kimbra (not saying it's an awesome combo, just an example) would be a subtle connection, and you could tell your favorite aunt about it later.

For what it's worth, even though I hate Katherine, I think Kate is a great middle, and really balances a lot of noun names (I like noun-y/nature-y first names too). Magnolia Kate? Perfection. Story Melissa Kate? Double perfection.

I'd use the same initials D.K
So any name starting with D and a middle name starting with K
