Thanks everyone. I think I'm going to do 1-2 cups a day. You can't really go wrong with that. : )

Watch out for caffine in sodas too. I had one cup in the morning then switched to Rooibus naturally caffine free red bush tea. Interestingly I kept this system with my perfect sleeping baby #2 having been driven to the arms of sweet, hot tea by my wakeful eldest child. I'll never know if it was the caffine or just their different personalities.

I have just been to a consultation with a health expert and when I said I had three cups of coffee a day she frowned. I gather that nil amount of coffee is best for optimal liver function (anytime of life).

as someone touched on, caffeine can cause health problems in general, including breast cysts

probably best to do as little as possible since its not worth even a 1% of hurting your baby

and this is a good chance to break your addiction
i do not ignore the Rich Text toolbar provided me. i bold, italicize, enlarge, underline and CAPITALIZE for emphasis, individuality, and to capture attention among the endless Arial Standard Size Font that everyone else uses.
i am not screaming nor will i cosset you. i do this to highlight the most important aspect of my thoughts so they are not lost again in the never ending sea of tiny, black, tempered letters that make up forums everywhere.

Im heavily pregnant and I have anywhere between 2-4 cups of tea a day. I am not a coffee drinker and idont really drink soda either. But i have a diet coke if i want one. FYI my doctor freind came round and i found myself justifying my extra cup of tea.....she laughed and me and told me to drink as much tea as i wanted! But seriously she said you would have to drink a lot of caffeine to do any harm.........same as everything else......just use moderation
