I've never met a female Harper but I do know a male Harper. I like it so much better for a boy. Why should girls get all the nice musical names?

Haper Levi is handsome but it does sound a lot like Harper Lee, the author.

While Harper is far more popular for girls (top 25!), it's still rising for boys. It's a perfectly valid choice for a boy.
