I like it. It has plenty of history (Little Women, Little House on the Prairie), a sweet and simple sound, and a beautiful meaning. I don't think I would use it just because it's a little too simple for me, though. It was also really really popular when I was a kid. But I'm quite certain this one will make a comeback, one day. Even now, I would have a mild positive reaction to meeting a child named Amy. It's a pretty difficult name to hate!

Amy seems a bit outdated to me.

I really love Amy! It's on my list for when I have a baby, though I doubt I'll get to use it, since it's also my younger sister's name. It's short and sweet, recognizable, and has a great meaning. Definitely ages well, and it's not at all trendy, so a little Amy wouldn't have 6 others with the same name in her class. I think it's beautiful.

I love seeing it paired with Amelia. I agree that it just makes it so much sturdier.
