    Jed is nice although I prefer it as a nickname for Jared.

    My husband's name is Jed and I absolutely love it. He's not from the South - he's actually a Jew from New York.

    I think of Jed Clampett from the Beverly Hillbillies. I agree with Judd over Jed.

    I have to confess I envision some version of a southern stereotype (backwoods hillbilly, moonshiner, etc.). I'm not a big fan of Jed but really don't like Jedadiah (old school biblical names are nms).

    I like the name Judson better.
