Matilda means Battle-Mighty which is just about the most badass meaning I've ever heard for a girls name. The nicknames for it are pretty frilly but the full name sounds very tough to me.

I've always thought Sloan sounded like a rebel/heartbreaker name for a boy. It's strong and a little surly but in that mysterious and a little dangerous way. Sounds like Stone or Steel. It has grit.

I like Matilda's meaning , the name is just nms . Sloan is interesting on a boy but I dislike it sooo much on a girl . Thanks though
