    i like Evangeline as well as Charlotte. i think Evangeline is less common & has a little more sparkle to it. Charlotte is softer sounding. i love the NNs Eve, Evie, & Elle.

    I love the sound of the name, but to me it just seems like it's a word for a female evangelist. I would absolutely, 100% assume that a little girl named Evangeline has parents who are evangelical Christians—so if that doesn't describe you, I'd reconsider. The religious overtones of the name are highly significant. But if that's your thing? Then maybe it's a perfect fit for you.

    Charlotte...Evangeline would be up with my worst girls name. Love Eva or Evelyn though.
