Okay, this morning I'm taking Amaryllis and Daisy off. It occurred to me that Amaryllis is basically the word "amorous" with an extra "li" in it. That, along with the S-to-T transition I wasn't loving with the surname, and the fact that DH likes it least, I took it off. But his pet Daisy is going too. I just don't love it as a given first name, and while I would totally love it as a nn, we didn't love Adelaide or Magdalene as full names for it, and honestly I'm too tired of searching at this point to go looking for something else that would work. My favorites, in order, as of today are: Gwyneth, Gwendolyn, Scarlett, Willow.
So I decided to take a look at where these "final four" stand in the Social Security numbers...and I was SHOCKED!! Eve was in the high 500s when she was born, so that's sort of my baseline. So here goes:
Gwendolyn: 514 - okay, that's about comparable, didn't know there were that many little Gwendolyns around, no wonder people like it better than the other Gwen names; more popular and more familiar names almost always get better general reviews.
Gwyneth: 974 - just made the Top 1000 last year!
Willow: 171 - SAYWHAAAAAA?? Whoaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. I almost spit my morning tea on my computer screen.
Scarlett: 61 - Jaw drop. I had noooooooo idea. Scarlett, nearly in the Top 50, really??? Never, ever would have guessed that.
Interesting bit of information gathering this morning!! I must run at the moment, but look for a combos thread soon!
It's a girl coming in March!

I'm really liking your final 4 (although I'm kinda disappointed to see Ameryllis and Magdelene gone ) and I think Dagny would be a great addition to the list since you both really like it, plus she's alot less common than Willow and Scarlett. Over all the Gwen names are still my favorites for you. I'm really looking forward to the combo thread!Top Girl names:
~Combos I love~
Elizabeth Winona "Elsie" ~ Adelheid Ruby "Addie Rue"
Marilla Delyth "Millie" ~ Casilda Josephine "Cassie Jo"
