    Hungarian baby girl names - top 50 list

    I am a hungarian born mom living in the US - also a name-lover. I was thinking to search for the most popular hungarian baby names and post it here. You might find some ideas or inspiration.

    Hanna, Anna, Nora, Emma, Laura, Lilla, Vivien, Noemi, Greta, Julia are some of my favorites.

    im also hungarian living in Australia

    my favorites are :

    Blanka and Fanni but unfortunately i can t really use Fanni because of the pronunciation differences
    writing a novel and not having babies anytime soon.

    girls: Nina, Sage, Blair, Penelope nn: Poppy/Posey/Lola, Cordelia, Cecily/Cecelia/Celia, Amelia, Hazel, Willow
    boys: Damian, Emmett, Nathan, Chase, Nathaniel, Jesse, Blaise, Dash

    I'm particularly intrigued by Emese as I very rarely see it, and (in my head) it sounds beautiful.
    Native Hungarian speakers how would it be properly pronounced?

    Emese is pronounced as Eh-me-sh-e. All the "e" letters sound the same (like in Ellen), the last e, too. Nickname for Emese is usually Mesi (pron. ME-shee).
