Baby #2: Opinions and suggestions welcome

Our daughter is Madelynn Marie and we both loved that name right away, but we never came up with any others for either gender. I'm pregnant again and I have a list of names that I really like, but my hubby hasn't seen my list yet and I don't know if he likes any of them (I hope so!) I have some common ones and some that I discovered on this site that are a little more unusual. I prefer names that aren't too wacky, but I kinda want to stay away from old-fashioned and common names for the most part. And at the end of each list are some names that have (middle name) next to them because I probably wouldn't use them for a first name.

    Girls:
    Elodie
    Julianna
    Juliet/Juliette
    Avalon
    Eden
    Avery/Ayveri
    Locklyn
    Lily
    Merridie
    Elliana
    Ariel
    Mayson
    Eloise
    Gracelynn (middle name)
    Brielle (middle name
    Heaven (middle name)
    Sydelle (middle name)

    Boys:
    Elliot/Elliott
    Aiden
    Asher
    Layton
    Sawyer
    Henry (Middle name)
    Elias (Middle name)

Southernbeauty, thanks for your input! Ironically, Penelope, Savannah, and Charlotte were on my list a couple years ago I also like Ethan, Lachlan, and Jude. Good ideas!

Congrats on your pregnancy! I think these names would work well for Madelynn's sibling. I would avoid setting a pattern with another name ending in the same "n" sound (Gracelynn, Locklyn, Mayson, Eden, Layton etc...). If you don't want common names I would advise you to stay away from Aiden (now in the top ten names in the US last year).

    Girls:

    Elodie
    Juliet/Juliette
    Elliana
    Eloise

    Combo Suggestions

    Juliet Brielle
    Juliet Sydelle
    Elliana Grace (instead of Gracelynn)
Elodie Celeste (instead of Heaven. Celeste means "heavenly")
    Eloise Mae (instead of Mayson)

    Boys:

    Elliot/Elliott
    Asher
    Sawyer
    Henry (Middle name)
    Elias (Middle name)

    Combo Suggestions

    Elliott Henry
    Asher Henry
    Asher Elias
    Sawyer Henry
    Sawyer Elias
    All the best,
    Mischa.

Mischa, thank you! I agree with the suggestion about not using the "n" sound at the end. Also, I have been thinking about Grace instead of Gracelynn as well. I appreciate your help!
