I love Murphy. It feels so spunky and friendly to me.

    In order of preference:
    Jackson
    Lincoln
    Murphy
    Lennon

The first two sound strong, aren't uncommon, have patriotic connotations. Murphy as a first name reminds me of Murphy Brown, and although I liked the show, that's what pops into my head. Lennon sounds cool and trendy, but what if your son doesn't share your taste in music when he grows up?...

I agree with mimiottawa regarding Jackson & Lincoln. I'm not a huge fan of Lennon, but I can't get behind Murphy because 1) Murphy Brown was the name of a woman and 2) I know two people that named their dogs Murphy [Irish families]

I like Lincoln and Lennon. Just throwing the idea to you of Lennox?
Murphy is unusual as a fn but I think it would grow on people.
