How to get rid of babies congestion

Poor Persephone's so congested! It's not in her nose, so the aspirator doesn't work. It's in the back of her throat and chest. Can I use Vicks on her? Does anyone have any suggestions?

Oh, poor little one. You can use vapourub on her chest, everyone I know do and I did too when Dita had a cold. There are apparently some studies that say it can be unsafe, but my doctor says it's fine. I also dressed her in sleepsuits a size bigger than what she usually wears, let her sleep whenever she wanted to and gave her lots of milk. And of course making sure no room's too cold or too warm. Good luck! I hope little Persephone feels better soon!

I used baby vapor rub - has a pink top. Just doesnt have the menthol in it I believe is the difference between that and adult vapor rub. Also warm steamy bathroom.

Thanks you too. My friend gave me some eucalyptus bath stuff made for babies who have colds. I'll try that tonight before bed and rub some vapor rub on her little chest.

I feel so bad for her

I'm not worried about her, but it is keeping her awake some. She can't breath too well so she's up and fussy and she's coughing trying to get it up.

    Thanks you guys. ^_^
