    Gideon vs Gabriel

Sorry, I forgot the poll. :/

    Gideon or Gabriel? And why?

I'm just curious to see which name will win the poll.

Gabriel has been a personal favorite for years, but I would be more likely to use Gideon. It has a strong, rolling, amiable sound, and Gideon is much less common.

Matilda Sailor or Faye Matilda | Sylvie Winifred or Simon Atlas | Atlas Dov or Alice Violetta | Lucien Wilde or Lucinda Jane | Jane Lucinda or Jack Mariner | Marlowe Charles or Roscoe Thomas | Charles ' Charlie' Wallace or Marigold 'Maggie' Wynn | Eloise Lily or Elliot Darwin | Iris Cordelia or Thea Marina | Jasper Augustus or Juniper 'June' Lovelace | Julian Felix or Judah 'Jude' Reeve

I voted Gabriel. I like the sound better. Plus, you can shorten it to Gabe, and I'm big on nicknames.

    I much prefer Gideon.

Gabriel is fine but I dislike the nn Gabe and with the popularity of girls names like Gabrielle and Brielle and Avril and the like, the sound combination is sounding more feminine. I do think a more modern nn might be Abe.
