To me, Fate is more word name than virtue. Although it's easier to live up to Fate than Patience or Remember, if Fate ends up in a bad situation (such as prison), it might be very ironic.
I'd use it as a middle. Or, it could be a nickname for Felicity, though it would be a stretch.
P.S. Spelling wise, use Fate. I like it... Fate is really cool short and sweetI like distinct, memorable, exotic and preferably non-popular names. The kids with unique names wore them so well when I was younger and never got lost in the crowd.
