Thread: Sandy for a boy?
August 19th, 2013 05:46 PM #6
There was a little boy that came to an event my church sponsors whose name was Sandy! He was adorable, and I thought it was cool (also, there's a Sandy on the American TV show, How I Met Your Mother). I think it's generally a nn for Alexander. I like it. I probably wouldn't use it (I'd probably opt for Alexei, Skandar, Sander, Xander, Zane, Lex, Sasha, or Alec instead), but I'd be happy to meet a little boy named Sandy. I think it's sweet.Lise

I can't get my head around it as a girls name eitherI like distinct, memorable, exotic and preferably non-popular names. The kids with unique names wore them so well when I was younger and never got lost in the crowd.
