    Alexis vs. Alexandra vs. Alexandria

Do you like Alexis, Alexandra or Alexandria more? Is there any other names that can be shortened down to Alex for a nn? Thanks c:

Alexandra! I like Alexandria too, but Alexis is extremely dated to me.

1 Alexandra - elegant, classic and timeless
2 Alexandria - a more elaborate version of Alexandra and an Egyptian place name
3 Alexis - with Krystle, on the Dynasty "dated" shelf of the 1980's (makes me think of padded shoulders and big hair )

Other "Alex" names: Alexa, Alexia, Alexandrina/Alexandrine, Alexana, Alexina

I think they are all a little dated (but classic!) - would go with Alexandria of the three. I find Alexa slightly more hip.
