    I LOVE the name Samuel! Personally, I think Samuel James is a strong and masculine name. : )

    Love everything about Samuel! What about Vince Vaughn's recent pick - Vernon? It's definitely not on the popularity charts and I don't see it skyrocketing anytime soon. It has an old-timey vibe to it. Samuel Vernon

    I also want to second the idea of using a family surname as a middle. Neat way to honor family history and get that southern feeling you're looking for at the same time.
