    @corajsb -- That is one of the reasons I dislike Helen. I can just see a little girl being haunted with the nn "Hell/Hel" her whole life...

    I really like it - it's a classic, strong name. If you wanted a nn, Nellie is my favorite. Though I prefer Helena myself, I'd love to meet a little girl named Helen! She would fit in with all the Alice's and Evelyn's, but wouldn't have to share a name with 7 other kids in her class. Perfect!
